Cloud Support Engineer: Data, Infrastructure, Databricks, Python, Insurance

Cloud Support Engineer required for a leading Specialist Insurance organisation. As part of the Data Operations team, you will support the design and development of critical data applications on Azure Cloud Platform. This is a Platform focused role, so a blend of Data & Infrastructure knowledge is key.

You will be well versed in Azure technologies such as Databricks and Azure storage with experience in MDM and ETL tools. You may come from a Data background with exposure to infrastructure support or a Platform/Database support with increased capacity in Data Engineering.

This is an ideal role for an Engineer with a varied skill set and keen to support a scalable Azure Data Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Provide design & development support to data applications such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Phinsys
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ETL processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data pipelines and improve system performance.
• Create and maintain appropriate technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data platform and improve system performance

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Platform Engineer or similar role
• Strong understanding of Azure Cloud offerings such as ADF and Databricks
• Experience with Master Data Management and Data Quality and Governance
• Demonstrate experience supporting infrastructure - Infrastructure as code is highly desirable
• Coding ability in Python and Spark is required
