Cloud Engineer, Security Engineering

Cloud Engineer, Security Engineering, Cloud Engineer, Scripting, SOAR, Automation, Infrastructure as Code with an interest in moving in to Cloud Security Engineering, some experience in security engineering would be a bonus is required for this financial services company based in the City of London.

£70 - 80,000 + Financial Services Benefits + Bonuses 30/40%
City of London, Hybrid working x5 days in 10 in office

You will be part of a small team engineering for automation of security jobs and processes, designing, implementing and maintaining security automation solutions to protect from threats.
Design and develop security automations for cloud based infrastructure platforms.
Ensure that security solutions are properly implemented and functioning.
Scripting to help automate and implement systems to collect information about security incidents and outcomes.
Build Infrastructure as Code to support systems and processes.
Develop metrics or procedures for evaluating the effectiveness of the systems and tactics.

You will develop automated solutions: engineer, design and develop automated solutions for Cloud-based infrastructure, such as scripts and code to provision and configure resources.
Maintain and Optimise cloud-based infrastructure.
Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Processes.

Develop and maintain security automation projects, ensuring alignment with security/infrastructure needs.
Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Shell, or other Scripting languages to automate security tasks.
Utilise SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response) tools to enhance security operations.
Participate in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of various system components, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.

Technical skills and experience in:

Cloud Engineering/DevOps experience
Cloud Automation technologies; including cloud infrastructure as code (eg Terraform), containerisation and orchestration technologies, CI/CD pipelining, etc.
Strong capabilities in programming/Scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell.
