The organization delivers core platforms for HR, Finance, and Tech enablement. These platforms are either business-specific or general (e.g., cloud services, collaboration services). The organization is divided into platforms like Finance, HR, Collaboration & Data Analytics, and Enablement, each with various teams. The organizational platforms are accountable for the performance of the services they provide whereas an enablement team is accountable for having various processes (ITIL, IT Controls) defined and implemented.
For the ITIL Processes we have process group owners (i.e. Service Design & Build, Transition to Service and Service Operate) working in pairs. 2 of the roles are located in the US and two are located in the EU (NL). Each process group owner is the owner for the processes assigned to him/her and has the task to assure processes are clearly documented, implemented and adhered to. Those processes apply to the Group and for this you work closely with associates and leadership in the platforms and with your colleagues. The role we want to hire concerns mainly the Design & Build and Transition to Service processes.
Your role is to define and implement new processes or to improve existing processes if needed. The need can be driven because there may be issues in the process or because we see opportunities for automation or quality improvements. Once processes are implemented you will assess if the platforms adhere to the processes and report out on this. Each product group owner also has contacts in each platform to discuss the needs, challenges, ideas etc. With these contacts you have regular meetings.
For the role we are looking for a person with the following skills and experience:
- Experience as a process owner for one or more ITIL processes and DevOps.
- Agile: The person should be well-versed in Agile methodologies and have experience with tooling like Jira (or similar). This is crucial as the organization has recently transitioned to Agile and faces challenges in aligning backlogs, prioritizing tasks, and reporting progress. Experience with scaled Agile would be nice to have.
- Process Implementation: The candidate should have a strong background in implementing processes, ensuring that new methodologies are effectively integrated into the existing way of working
- Experience in improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean)
- Communication skill to communicate with all levels in het organization: It is important that the person can communicate effectively at the C-level, as they will need to report progress and align strategies with senior management but also with people on the ground. Strong mediation and influential skills are required.
- Has the capability to create a vision for his/her area and share it with the organization.
- Prioritization and Decision-Making: The person should have the skill to prioritize initiatives across different teams
- Have a pragmatic approach so items work for Group Tech
