Are you passionate about education and children's mental health? Become a key player in shaping the future of educational psychotherapy training with the Caspari Foundation. We are looking for an inspiring Chair of Trustees to lead our dedicated team and drive our mission forward.

About Us:

The Caspari Foundation stands at the forefront of educational psychotherapy in the UK, providing vital training and support to schools. Since the 1970s, we have been bridging the gap between education and therapy, thanks to the pioneering work of our founder, Irene Caspari. Our unique approach helps children navigate their experiences, build better relationships, and experience the joy of learning.

What We're Looking For:

We need a dynamic Chair of Trustees with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Education: From primary to senior leadership and policy level.
  • Psychotherapy: Bringing a deep understanding of therapeutic practices.
  • Finance / Fundraising: Expertise in financial management and securing funding.
  • Marketing: Savvy in promoting our mission and engaging stakeholders.
  • Network / Advocacy: Building and leveraging connections to further our cause.

Ideal candidates wile have previous experience as a trustee, particularly with small businesses or charities. Sensitivity to the challenges faced by small teams working with limited resources is essential.

Your Commitment:

  • This is a volunteer position.
  • Attend at least three meetings per year (one per term), with dates agreed upon by trustees.
  • Participate in up to three additional ad hoc meetings annually to support charity operations and decision-making.
  • Meetings are primarily held on Zoom, with potential for some in-person meetings.
  • Share your knowledge, skills and expertise staying updated on developments in your area of specialism.
  • Play an active role in managing the charity, contributing to decisions, and potentially mentoring employees.
  • Commit to a renewable three-year term.
