About the Role

We're looking for a Category Lead to join our clients Debt Advisory & Money Guidance team. In this role, you'll lead a small team, oversee contracts and grants for professional service providers, and offer expert commercial advice throughout the contract life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial activity across sourcing, procurement, and contract/grant management.
• Develop and implement commercial and sourcing strategies.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to drive value.
• Ensure compliance with public sector regulations (PCR2015, PA23, and government grant standards).
• Line manage and support up to three team members.
• Contribute to shaping the client's strategic approach to service delivery.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Commercial Expertise: MCIPS or equivalent, with experience across procurement, contract management, and commercial strategy.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with public sector procurement regulations and grant standards.

Decisive & Strategic: Able to operate in a fast-paced environment and make informed recommendations.

Strong Communicator: Confident in influencing and building credibility with stakeholders.
