Advocate / Social Care Coordinator

Initial 3 month fixed term contract

Social work background required

Salary up to £28,000 pro rata plus travel costs

A reputable organisation is looking for an Advocate/Social Work professional to cover their Northumberland region. The role will be responsible for visiting clients in care homes to ensure they are happy with surroundings, have a representative and that care plans are in place.

Duties will include:

• Supporting clients to help them understand their rights
• Working in line with legislation across mental health, care and human rights acts.
• Ensure care provided is within the clients best interests
• Raise any safeguarding concerns

To be considered suitable you will need the following skills/experience:

• Ability to commute to care homes in the Northumberland region (mileage costs covered)
• Social care background and understanding of legislation
• Experience in advocacy would be advantageous
