Business Objects Report Writer (with Pentaho & CMDB Experience)

London/Birmingham-Hybrid Working

Must have financial services experience

Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Objects Report Writer with expertise in Pentaho and CMDB to join a dynamic team within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating and managing reports in Business Objects, as well as hands-on experience working with Pentaho and CMDB systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Business Objects reports for internal stakeholders, ensuring high-quality and accurate data presentation.
  • Work closely with business users to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective report solutions.
  • Leverage Pentaho and CMDB to gather and analyse data, producing actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to integrate data from various sources and maintain accurate reporting structures.
  • Ensure reports are aligned with industry standards and regulations specific to financial services.
  • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for report-related issues.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience working with Business Objects for report writing and data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Pentaho and CMDB (Configuration Management Database) tools.
  • Solid background in the financial services industry, with an understanding of regulatory requirements and data compliance.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into data-driven reporting solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with additional reporting tools and data visualisation platforms.
  • Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and data structures within the financial services industry.
