Job Description

Randd, is a leading UK R&D Tax Specialist, helping our clients businesses grow and continue to innovate. Since Randd was formed in 2008, our R&D tax consultants have helped thousands of UK businesses to successfully claim back millions of pounds using the R&D tax incentive schemes, including the SME scheme and RDEC scheme.

The business has grown considerably and is also part of a wider professional services business (K3 Capital Group) and are now looking for a Business Development Manager to come in and support their growth specifically partnering with accountancy firms. The role involves a consultative approach spending time throughout the sales cycle understanding the needs of their partners, clients and creating bespoke strategic solutions to support them to maximising their revenue potential at all opportunities.

The Business Development Manager will be aligned to our hybrid workstyle, based in the office (Derby) 1-2 days per week and the rest working from home / at client sites.

Our Business Development Managers are pivotal in growing our partnership network with accountancy partners across the UK. This role involves:

  • Relationship building with existing and new partners.
  • Managing a portfolio of existing partners.
  • Hunting for new accountancy partners.
  • Lead and Revenue generation.
  • Attending industry events & networking events.
  • Managing a portfolio of unpartnered accountancy firms.
  • Updating CRM systems / producing MI on portfolio.
  • Work closely with internal sales executive to increase meeting volumes.
  • Utilising strong sales acumen, a deep understanding of complex tax incentive products, and the ability to influence decision-makers, they build partnerships and generate new clients from referrals.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Full 360 sales role. From prospecting to closing. (with assistance of an office based appointment booker).
  • Encouraged to do F2F meetings in person as it's not a 'demo' type of sales process.
  • Previous experience of selling a service and maintaining partnerships.
  • Partnership focused, important that strong relationships are built & maintained.
  • Accurate data input and MI creation to show growth of portfolio.
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets and enjoy working within a fast paced sales driven environment.
  • Self-motivated, professional and a team player.
  • Last (but by no means least) you will have bags of energy, an enthusiastic approach and the desire to be the best!

Qualifications and experience

  • 2+ years B2B experience in the R&D sector / tax reliefs industry or experience selling to accountancy firms.
  • Adept at building relationships at a senior level in accountancy firms.
  • A proven track record of excelling in a self-generated 360 sales role.
  • A Hunter mentality that is rewarded with a strong commission package.
