Business Development Manager - Multimodal Air Freight, Sea Freight & Road Freight

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team within the freight industry. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding customer base, and developing strategic partnerships. Your primary focus will be on generating new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and implementing effective sales strategies to maximize profitability.

Package:

An industry-leading uncapped bonus scheme, offering up to 20% of GP. With a great opportunity to achieve an annual OTE of over £100,000+

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential clients within the freight industry to generate new business leads.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients through regular communication and client engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and close sales agreements, contracts, and partnerships, adhering to company policies and profitability objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to management.

Required experience:

  • Extensive experience in freight forwarding sales.
  • Proven ability to generate sales leads independently.
  • Experience in selling multimodal Air, Sea and Road services
  • Skilled in managing customer accounts and driving revenue growth.
