Your Responsibilities
  • Strategic business development along the full carbon value chain from capture to utilization and storage including origination, build up and fostering of valuable partnerships to drive implementation of projects
  • Definition, Monitoring and Improvement of internal processes and interaction of the building blocks of CCU/S operating model "Carbon Project Development", "Carbon Capture" and "Carbon Logistics"
  • Developing thorough market intelligence in the European carbon capture market (e.g. competitor analysis), provide insights to the development of Carbon emission and Carbon Removal Credit markets and derive strategic answers to optimize market position of E.ON
  • Screening of market opportunities and deriving make-or-buy decisions along the value chain with focus on carbon logistics, storage and carbon utilization technologies, including scouting of inorganic growth opportunities
  • Enhance the partnership with potential partners that allow for scaling a full value chain customer service offering in Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage
  • Take lead on strategy review process, internal stakeholder management regarding strategic decision taking and work in cross functional and multi-disciplinary teams within the E.ON Group and with external partners

Your Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development of large-scale chemicals / energy projects or in management consulting with focus in these industries
  • University degree or similar, background in the field of Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage either practical or academic
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to derive and enable strategic decision making within the team and in interaction with the E.ON Group functions
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and high commitment to company vision, values and excellent customer service
  • Good sense of humour and positive attitude, ability to interact and motivate project team members
  • Written and spoken English fluency is essential; knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Availability for short business trips in Europe to meet customers and other stakeholders
