We are seeking to expand the in-house BMS software team with experienced engineers who have a proven record of delivering BMS software using mainstream commercial platforms (eg, Niagara, Schneider, Trend). As a software team member, you will collaborate across the business and project teams to deliver high-quality, fully operational BMS software solutions.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
The role will primarily be based in the Coulsdon, London office however, may require occasional travel to the project offices based in and around London.
Technical Experience Required:
- Strong working knowledge of Building Management Systems, preferably Distech, Schneider, Tridium, and Delta.
- Demonstrated success in delivering BMS software for main plant, outstation panels, and terminal units.
- Familiarity with standard BMS communication protocols (eg, Modbus, BACnet).
- Understanding of cloud-based IoT protocols (eg, MQTT) and API integrations.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, including Descriptions of Operations, panel drawings, and points lists.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work within project timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clean, well-documented, standards-compliant code that aligns with BMS design documentation. Proactively identifies, addresses, and communicates anomalies to the design engineer to ensure a high-quality final product.
- Ability to propose enhancements or optimizations to improve system design.
- Relevant technical qualifications and certifications.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.
- Completion of accredited training courses with major BMS manufacturers such as Tridium or Schneider.
- Knowledge of IT networks, IP technology, and smart building concepts (eg, standard naming conventions, system integrations).
- CSCS card holder.
