Backend Software Engineer

Leeds - 2x a week

Salary: £35k - £50k D.O.E

Fruition IT are working with a well-established tech-first business who are embarking on a complete technical transformation. This client is looking to bring in a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer to work on a bespoke software platform as part of the business growth.

The Backend Software Engineer will be responsible for building a bespoke SaaS product, and creating a low latent high performing connected platform. You will be working with Terraform as the infrastructure as code, and working with Node.JS as the Back End framework, spun up into an AWS platform.

What will I be doing?

• Developing web applications and systems using JavaScript, Node and Typescript.
• Define and analyse business requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and integrations to enhance deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and tested to develop unit code.
• Working in an AWS environment

Key requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years as a Backend Engineer.
• JavaScript development experience.
• Strong experience with Node.JS.
• Strong experience of Terraform.
• Understanding of JavaScript, Typescript and React on the Front End.
• Good cloud exposure, ideally in AWS but Azure or GCP is also fine.
• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Kafka and MySQL.
• Strong experience in microservices and REST APIs.
