Work from Home as an Autism Advisory Teacher A role where your expertise empowers others in SEND Location: North London Salary: £240 - £285 (PAYE) per day based on experience Contract Type: Contract, Part time, Hybrid Start Date: Easter As a teacher with deep experience in autism and inclusive practice, you've made a tangible difference to the pupils you support. Navigating learning journeys, building trust, and creating environments where autistic children feel understood and valued. But perhaps you re now looking for something more strategic. A new chapter where you can have a broader impact, not just on pupils, but on the systems and staff that surround them. This Autism Advisory Teacher opportunity offers exactly that. Working as part of a highly respected and collaborative team, you'll advise and coach schools across Barnet, mainly primary mainstream settings, to improve outcomes for autistic children and young people. You ll bring your knowledge, empathy and leadership to: Guide staff in embedding inclusive, neurodiversity-positive practice Deliver training for educators and families Support transitions, placements, and personalised learning plans Promote wellbeing, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy in autistic pupils Collaborate with a multi-agency team across education, health, and social care This is a rare opportunity to step into a borough-wide role where your experience is not only valued but amplified. What you ll need: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Significant experience supporting autistic pupils in educational settings A strong understanding of strategies like SCERTS, TEACCH, Attention Autism The ability to inspire, train and support school staff with clarity and compassion A collaborative, reflective mindset and commitment to inclusive education A postgraduate qualification in autism or SEND would be an advantage, but is not essential if you bring the right passion and experience.
