Job Description

Audit Manager - Audit & Assurance - ACA - ACCA - FRS 102 - IFRS - ISA's

My client who are a Leading Chartered Accountancy firm are looking for an Audit Manager to oversee a portfolio of assurance and audit assignments (including, but not restricted to, commercial audits, charities, and lawyers), making sure that they are completed efficiently and on schedule while upholding the highest standards of quality. Occasionally visiting other member firms may be necessary for the task. To manage the practice's existing clientele and bring in new ones in order to support its expansion.

Job Duties:

  • Plan and complete audit tasks for clients as part of your job duties.
  • ensuring that the audit team stays on task and completes the audit within the budget and time frame allotted.
  • Oversee and manage junior employees in India and the UK.
  • updating the client on the audit's status and scheduling a meeting to talk about issues pertaining to the audit and finances.
  • Give clients advice on how to develop their businesses and if necessary, negotiate conditions of business with them.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience (ACA/ACCA) ideally in a practice environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS (Consolidation experience is a must especially with overseas subsidiaries)
  • Sound knowledge of ISA's and good report writing skills
  • Ability to manage a team of up to 10 staffs.
  • Competent with the following software: CaseWare, IRIS and familiar with the Mercia methodology
