Associate Dentist

Are you looking for a way to really help people that need it most? To make a difference and help people smile again? We are working on that too. Dentaid are seeking flexible associates working a 7-hour clinic day with half an hour lunch on mobile dental units across areas of Hampshire, mainly located in Portsmouth, Gosport and Southampton.

We are predominantly looking for clinicians that can work Fridays on a weekly basis but may have other opportunities to work other days as an extra.

You will be providing care for those facing health inequalities, poverty, people at risk of homelessness, children, and new and expectant mothers at higher risk of poor oral health. Our innovative project is a joint venture with the NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight, to help relieve the pressure on the dental system and to increase the access for those who deserve dental care and stabilization.

Dentaids mobile dental units will be parking outside community centers, public buildings, churches and accessible areas of Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Eligible patients will be encouraged to call our designated appointment line, to book an examination with the clinician. The clinician will then provide checkups, oral cancer screenings, oral health advice, treatment planning and then carrying out the proposed treatment. All treatments will be free of charge. We are also working closely with agencies including support services, community groups, GP practices, foodbanks, charity partners and 111 as referral pathways into our service. Our clinics are currently taking place in Southampton, Havant, Gosport, Cosham, Portsmouth, Waterlooville and various locations of Isle of Wight with possibilities of extending to other areas of Hampshire.
