Assistant Manager

A 500-acre, all grass extensive grazing operation, with 470 crossbred cows, split autumn and spring calving flying herd, and milked via a 24 x 48 parlour, is looking for a suitably experienced assistant manager to work closely with the farm manager on a day-to-day basis.

Duties, on this fully staffed unit, will include assisting the hands-on farm manager with all aspects of the day-to-day operations, and take full charge in the manager's absence; to include some milkings, general stock work, some yard tractor work, and feeding.

The current manager will include you in all farming operations, with the ultimate aim of you taking over in 2 years.

A 3-bedroom, fully expensed house, and a competitive salary, is on offer.
