Assistant Accountant / St Helens office / Up to £30,000 + Study Support

Accountable recruitment are currently supporting a client based in the St Helens area as they recruit a newly created Assistant Accountant role to join their team. This role is due to growth following recent acquisitions and offers plenty of exposure, working closely with the Finance Manager.

You don't need experience in all the below duties - just exposure to some & ambitious to learn!

Assistant Accountant

St Helens office - parking onsite

23 days AL - increasing with service

Study Support available

Key duties:

• Overseeing Purchase and Sales ledger functions
• Assist with the production of the monthly accounts and forecasts
• Posting of journals (accruals, prepayments)
• VAT returns
• Management of Fixed Asset register
• Bank reconciliations
• Cash flow forecasting

Experience Required:

• Exposure to some of the above duties
• Ambitious to grow and learn
• Strong transactional background
• Month end awareness
• Ideally AAT qualified / studying CIMA/ACCA
