Architect Local authority contract (approx 6 months) Ayrshire £28-30ph PAYE

Your new company
Hays are working in partnership with a local authority in the West of Scotland who are looking to appoint an Architect to join their design team on an ongoing contract basis, expected to last for approximately 6 months.The council have a hybrid working arrangement in place and would require you to be in the office 3 days per week, with the other 2 days available to work from home. Proximity to, or willingness to travel to Ayrshire on a regular basis is therefore essential.
Your new role
Projects will be varied, but initially will include work across mainly civic projects. Your role will include:

Interpreting a client's brief

Use a mix of Revit & AutoCAD to produce technical drawings.

Working throughout planning stages up to submission

Working independently on projects

Working on technical documentation

What you'll need to succeed

Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience based in the UK

Proficiency in AutoCAD (working knowledge of Revit would be beneficial but is not essential)

Good technical knowledge of relevant Building Regs

Strong independent worker
