Android Engineer

Android Engineer needed to join us within the next few weeks for a short term contract.

You will join our dynamic team and leverage your strong Android development background to build innovative features using Java and Kotlin! You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship impactful new features, while also contributing to our coding standards. Utilize your experience with Git and a wide range of third-party libraries and APIs to create cutting-edge applications. Dive into push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging, and share your expertise by mentoring junior developers. What you'll be doing:

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
• Contribute to the establishment and upkeep of coding standards.
• Utilize Git for code versioning and collaborative development.
• Integrate and leverage a variety of third-party libraries and APIs.
• Implement and manage push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging services.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practise

What we want from you:

• Strong background in Android Development
• Good knowledge of both Java and Kotlin
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Contribute to defining and maintaining coding standards
• Experience using code versioning tools like Git
• Experience with a range of third-party libraries and APIs
• Familiarity with push notifications, APIs and cloud messaging
• Mentoring and providing guidance to junior developers

• Experience writing unit tests
• Experience defining technical requirements
• Experience with Gradle
