Account Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Professional to support financial reporting and period closings. You will work with general ledger data, ensure compliance with IFRS standards, and contribute to process improvements within the finance team. In your role, you will collaborate with other departments to optimize financial processes and ensure smooth period closings. Additionally, you will oversee the timely and accurate delivery of financial information from internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with Finance, Risk, and Audit teams to ensure accurate financial statements and efficient reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform financial accounting, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Support month-end and quarter-end closings, explaining balance and P&L changes.
• Prepare IFRS-compliant financial reports and ensure alignment with ABN AMRO standards.
• Maintain and improve the internal control framework (key controls, SOPs, EUDAs).
• Identify and implement process optimizations in accounting workflows.

What We Are Looking For:

• 2-5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and SAP (or similar ERP systems).
• Familiarity with IFRS and internal control principles.
• Analytical mindset with strong Excel skills.
• Fluent in English; Dutch, French, or German is a plus.
