Accommodation Support Worker (maternity cover)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to support asylum seekers and refugees in our accommodation across Newcastle and Gateshead, equipping them to sustain an independent life in the UK.

The successful candidate will be experienced in supporting vulnerable clients, helping them to explore opportunities and build skills, maximise their income and improve their wellbeing. Working in trauma informed ways, the successful candidate will enable clients to move on to lead successful independent lives.

Essential Information

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £23,755 £26,227 per annum plus 6% pension contribution plus out of hours payments starting from £75 per week

Holiday entitlement: 28 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata). Flexi leave system

Contract: Temporary (Maternity Cover 6 months minimum) The role includes taking part in an on-call rota (1 week in 4)
