3.5t Van Driver - Our Driver Academy

3.5T vehicle multi-drop delivery drivers are needed to join our high profile and fast-moving family-owned Transport and Distribution Service - based in Chard, Somerset.

Due to our success, we are now looking for new members to join the team. You will play an integral part in the deliveries and collections across Dorset, Devon and Somerset with the view to progress to our LGV Driver Academy scheme so you can driver a C2 rigid and move up a step in your driving career.

About the Role:

• Driving 3.5T commercial vehicles.
• Loading and unloading the vehicle & maintaining the security of load
• Carrying out all necessary checks on the vehicle
• Completing all relevant paperwork
• Entering data into the Alliance freight management system Reporting any issues around load planning and routing to the traffic office
• Operating all vehicle systems including tail lifts, pallet trucks and in-cab technology.
• Will be enrolled onto the company Academy Programme to progress to Class C/C+E Driving qualifications.

About you:

• Class B Licence
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to read maps
• Understanding of Working Time Directive and load restraint procedures
• Knowledge of or experience in a pallet network or Palletforce (advantageous)
• Multi-Drop Driving Experience (advantageous)
• Want to progress to a Class C/C+E Driving qualifications
