Year 6 Teacher (Maternity Cover) - Primary School, Hackney
A welcoming and high-achieving three-form entry primary school in Hackney is seeking an experienced and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis from April until the end of the academic year.

The Role - Year 6 Teacher:
• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum, ensuring all pupils are well-prepared for their transition to secondary school.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and provide targeted support where needed, differentiated to individual students needs and abilities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence, resilience, and independence, where every child feels supported.
• Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development, preparing them for their next stage of education.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in extracurricular activities, trips, and school events.
Who We Are Looking For - Year 6 Teacher:
• A qualified teacher (UK QTS required) with experience teaching in UKS2.
• A dedicated and inspirational teacher with high expectations for all pupils.
• A teacher with strong subject knowledge, particularly in English and Maths, to ensure pupils achieve their full potential in SATs.
• Committed to delivering high-quality teaching and ensuring equality of opportunity for all learners.

• Someone with excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a calm, focused, and respectful learning environment.
