Hays Education are recruiting for a Year 6 teaching job to start in January on a long-term basis at a fantastic primary school in the Preston area. The school are looking for an experienced Year 6 teacher to come in and hit the ground running to ensure a smooth continuation of the pupils learning. You should possess strong behaviour management skills to ensure pupils keep on track. Experience in Year 6 is required, so this is not a suitable role for an ECT. However, we have multiple job roles, so please don't let this deter you from applying.
Your new role
This job will be on a long-term and full-time basis and will continue through until summer as a minimum. You will be responsible for planning and delivering fun and exciting lessons for pupils to keep them engaged in learning. You will be required to mark and assess work in order to assist preparing the pupils to take their SAT's. These lessons will need to be planned and delivered in line with the English national curriculum. You will need to have good knowledge in teaching SATS based subjects such as Maths, English and Science and be confident in teaching them. You will need to work well with other staff members including TA's.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will be an experienced teacher with recent experience within primary education as a working knowledge of Year 6 or KS2 with delivery of SAT Prep will prove beneficial. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
