Job Description
Year 6 Teacher required for a 2 term long-term teaching post starting in January 2025

Hays Education are currently working with a Primary School in Widnes to recruit an experienced Year 6 teacher for a two-term contract starting in January 2025.
The school are welcoming applications from ECT's and experienced teachers, but you must have previous experience teaching in Year 6 and supporting with KS2 SATS.
The role is to start in January and will be for the spring and summer term.

Your new company
This Ofsted "Good" school are looking for an engaging, positive and energetic teacher to join their experienced teaching and support staff team for a two term contract. Your new role
As a year 6 teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs and interests of your pupils. You will also work closely with your colleagues and the senior leadership team to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school. You will have access to excellent resources and facilities, as well as ongoing professional development and support. You will support pupils as they prepare for KS2 SATs, administer SATs and support pupils as the transition to High School.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • Qualified teacher status.
  • An in depth knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and previously taught in Year 6
  • Recent experience of KS2 SAT
  • An up-to-date DBS or willingness to get one.
  • Satisfactory references
  • The ability to provide an inspiring, engaging and safe learning environment.
