The members of our DRS team work alongside consulting team colleagues to bring advanced research capabilities to support projects and clients. KCS team is a cross-functional team equipping BCGers with internal and external knowledge resources and digital collaboration tools, enabling them to work smarter and with increased productivity.



What You'll Do

We are seeking a Working Student to support our Industrial Goods Practice Area with a focus on the iron and steel industry.

You can work up to 20 hours/week during your semesters and up to 40 hours/week during your vacation time. The role offers enough flexibility to combine personal, academic and professional life. This is a temporary role from min. 12 to max. 24 months. You need to be an enrolled university student in Germany.

Your areas of responsibility will include:

  • Support the development of analytical tools for BCG's steel team
  • Create, enhance, and maintain databases for technical and financial benchmarking
  • Develop and maintain analytical models and tools in Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau
  • Explore ways to automate information research (e.g., through GenAI)
  • Assist Knowledge and Consulting Teams in strategic research and analysis tasks

  • Ongoing Bachelor's or Master's studies
  • Interest in analyzing technical & competitive information along various dimensions
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Creative, yet structured problem solver and autonomous self-starter
