Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver - Split shifts

We have a vacancy for a Warehouse Operative with a Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Licence working for a high profile and fast-moving family-owned Transport and Distribution Service - based in Chard, Somerset.

You will play an integral part in our operation by ensuring that the warehousing requirements are met.

Hours: Split Shifts 05:00-10:00 & 16:30-23:00

Location: Chard, Somerset

Job Type: 45 hrs per week, Monday to Friday. There may be a requirement to work the occasional Saturday if required for the operation.

The Role:

Working in a fast-based Warehouse, daily duties will include;

• Taking delivery of pallets and storing them within the Warehouse
• Checking for damaged or missing items on the pallet
• Moving pallets as appropriate
• Packing and wrapping goods
• Loading pallets for sending out for deliveries
• Keeping stock records
• Cleaning the warehouse and yard
• Manually handling goods when necessary
• Completing paperwork for delivery notes and stock control

Essential Skills:

Current Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Licence (Refresher can be given if needed)

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Knowledge of or experience in a pallet network (advantageous)
