The position is part of the EMEA Global Banking Audit team, where you will take a leading role in auditing M&A advisory and Capital Markets (DCM and ECM) product areas, including syndicated loan transactions.
What you'll need to succeed
Exhibit professionalism and competence. Stay updated on current economic developments, risks, processes, and controls relevant to M&A, Equity/Debt Capital Markets, Corporate Broking/Sponsor, and the broader Banking business.
Apply critical and innovative thinking, analytical skills, and professional judgement to influence business partners, senior managers, and peers. Assist business partners in balancing their business strategies with appropriate risk management controls.
Work meticulously while also taking a broad view to identify connections and themes, pinpointing risks and concerns. A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Internal Audit, front office, or risk management is required, with at least 3 to 5 years focused on M&A/Capital Markets risk and control review or front office experience.

• Minimum University level of education in a recognised University.
• Professional Certification - CA / ACCA / CFA / FRM / CIA will be a plus
• Knowledge of M&A advisory, Capital Markets (DCM/ECM) products and associated risks.
• Able to perform effectively under pressure and comfortable at engaging with senior management at all levels of an organisation across regions on complex issues.
• Solid risk assessment, analytical, problem-solving skills, and ability to apply critical thinking.
• Exceptional attention to details.
• Develop team members by providing day to day coaching and guidance when acting as an AIC.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English
