As the branches are located close to one another, the successful candidate may be required to provide cover for sickness or holidays in other locations

The Position

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically driven Optometrist who is passionate about delivering high-quality care. The ideal candidate will be keen to further their career, engage in shared care schemes, and pursue additional qualifications. The role requires a balance of strong clinical skills and commercial awareness, with a focus on meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).

responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision, detect eye diseases, and evaluate overall eye health
• Prescribe corrective lenses, considering each patient's lifestyle and visual needs
• Diagnose and monitor conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy
• Educate patients on eye health, contact lens care, and the importance of regular check-ups
• Manage and monitor ongoing eye conditions, ensuring appropriate treatment and follow-up care
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other healthcare professionals when necessary
• Provide contact lens assessments, fittings, and aftercare services
• Promote additional services such as dry eye clinics, visual screening for dyslexia, and myopia management

Requirements

• GOC registered
• Clean Faultless GOC record
• Be registered to provide MECS and CUES or be willing to undertake the necessary training
• Full time and part time commitment
