The Lifelong Learning team is part of the council's Children's Services department and provides an extensive adult education offer.
Due to an expansion of our service we are looking for part time tutors that could deliver in one or more of the subjects below:
- British Sign Language
- Counselling Level 3
All roles are part-time (3 - 12 hours) which could include face to face evening delivery. For the counselling role there will be a requirement to deliver weekly group sessions in person as well as some additional marking of assessments each week.
For the BSL role we are ideally looking for an individual that can deliver short Introduction to BSL courses online to support parents, carers etc.
This will involve designing and delivering courses to adults.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Experience of delivering training to adults (minimum 2 years).
- Experience of delivering via blended or distance learning.
- A relevant UK Teaching qualification
- Experience of delivering these sector programmes and appropriate sector CPD/qualifications.

Test/Presentation: Initially there will be an interview and then if successful you will be invited to deliver a 15 minute teaching session.
