Job Description

Our client, the national charity for children in care and young care leavers are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced part-time Training Officer to plan, design and deliver training content that makes a real impact.

Training Officer
Salary: £19,200 per annum (Full time equivalent £32,000)
Hours: This role is part-time (21 hours per week). They offer flexible working options such as compressed hours and job-shares. Preferred working days will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Location: Team members mostly work remotely but have access to office space in London and are expected to attend team meetings in London (usually once or twice per month). The Training Officer role will also require delivery at client venues.

About the Role

They are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Training Officer to plan, design and deliver training content that makes a real impact. They provide training and consultancy to organisations that work directly with children in care and care leavers and are seeking an excellent facilitator to deliver this important provision, who is creative and has strong organizational and self-administration skills.

The Training Officer will be involved in developing new and innovative pieces of work, including digital and in-person training packages alongside supporting the ongoing development of an accredited learning programme for Personal Advisers in Leaving Care Service Teams.

Interview details

Interviews will have two parts:

  • A session with young people;
  • A panel interview with their staff.

Interviews may be held virtually using a video calling app (Microsoft Teams or Zoom) or in person at their location in Central London. If access to technology/WiFi is difficult for you, please contact them so they can assist in making suitable arrangements.

They also want to ensure fairness in all of their interviews so all successful shortlisted candidates will be sent the interview questions in advance.

Interviews will take place:

  • Young people's panel: 21st October 2024
  • Staff panel: 22nd October 2024
