We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Therapy Team Manager to join our award-winning Adult Social Care Team at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full time, permanent basis.
As Therapy Team Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all work undertaken within the team is in accordance with relevant legal frameworks, guidance, policies and procedures to promote and ensure wellbeing, independence and safety.
You will play an integral role in providing leadership, management, and support to the team, ensuring that performance and quality standards are met.
This role will also be responsible for delivering a culture of partnership and ensure collaborative working with all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:
- You will lead in the planning, organising, and monitoring and ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations
- Provide direct line management, supervision, coaching and support to an experienced and committed Therapy Team. You will work closely with the Principal Occupational Therapist to develop the workforce and ensure that they have the skills, knowledge that are needed to meet the changing needs of the residents of Wokingham.
- Supporting the social care pathway process, ensuring that all services and opportunities are maximised to maintain client independence, and to identify and seek to improve areas where greater efficiency and effectiveness can be achieved
Candidate requirements:
- Must have Occupational Therapy Qualification and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience
- Knowledge of legislation, regulation, rules and guidance relating to the health and social care of adults, including, but not limited to in Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, NHS Continuing Healthcare, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
- Strong assessment and analytical skills
- Demonstrable ability to lead, motivate, supervise and performance manage staff
