Temporary Works Advisor

Kier Group are looking for a temporary works advisor tojoin our civil and structural designengineering teambased inCambridge.

Kier Professional Services (KPS) arethe engineering consultancy division of Kier Group, providingdesign solutions, technical advice, and engineering support to allother Kier business units.

We undertake over 2,000 designs a yearin support of over 400 projects, making us one of the UK's largestTemporary Works designers. Our 100+ Temporary Works engineers haveextensive experience in designing and checking Temporary Works forprojects of all sizes and across allsectors.

Our vision is to ensure that Kier is technicallyequipped to achieve its vision and to enhance the Group'scompetitive position and reputation.

Location: Cambridge - remoteworking available, with occasional travel to the officerequired

What will your responsibilitiesbe?

As a temporary works advisor, you'll be working withinthe Kier Professional Services team, supporting with thedelivery of a broad range of Civil & Structural relatedservices in both Temporary and Permanent Works throughout the Kierbusiness. You will also contribute to the delivery ofmore complex services by providing solutions which are safeand buildable (in both their temporary and permanentstates)

What will your day to day dutiesinclude?:

• You'll be helping shape the Temporary Works Design Briefsand tender applications
• Be able to liaise with in-house and externaldesigners
• Inspect installations and audit site operations - as wellas training and mentoring a wide range ofcolleagues

Whatare we looking for?

• You are an experiencedprofessional Engineer from a Design and/or Contractingbackground
• You have a proven track record in the design andmanagement of cost-effective temporary worksschemes
• You may be an experienced Site or Project Manager seekinga chance to diversify into Temporary Works
