The Position
Team:
The team of 6 colleagues has office in Eindhoven. This job opening is based in the Eindhoven offices. The team members are very proud of their contributions to providing solutions, that enable customers to make our world cleaner, healthier and safer. We are hiring Validation Engineer for changes in engineering and operations. You will play a key role for these changes. Contact different colleagues to collect technical recommendations and look after implementation and documentation. The products and equipment are related to the Electron Microscopes, for example cables and electronic boards.
Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:
- Coordinate, prioritize, and execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) during Product Lifecycle Management.
- Act as an advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cable issues related to ECR's and factory issues.
- Act as an advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for maintaining a high level of quality of documentation.
- Working in compliance with legislation and IMS.
- Provide impact analysis of complex ECRs affecting multiple products across different sites.
- Create implementation plans for assigned ECOs, act as the change owner, and track them to completion.
- Monitor ECO process metrics (e.g., work-in-progress and cycle time) to ensure targets are met.
- Participate in local Product Improvement Board (PIB) meetings and participate in global PIB and Change Review Board (ChRB) meetings to ensure positive return on investment and minimal disruption.
- Interface effectively with other departments to resolve technical conflicts.
- Support Global Operations and Technical Service with product issues and ECO implementations as necessary.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Logistics, Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, R&D) to facilitate collaboration.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach in all activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Secondary vocational education (MBO); a degree in electrical engineering is a benefit.
- Experience in a high-tech or manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and implement complex engineering changes across multiple products and sites.
- Skilled in creating technical documentation and reports using Microsoft Office and Acrobat.
- Desire to have a two-folded position; one where pragmatism is required and the other part where detailed and precision is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language.
- Strong multicultural interaction abilities.
- Ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as required (up to 10% of working time).
- Proven ability to work with programs like Visio, CAD.
