Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Technical Business Analyst (Murex) for a contract running until the end of this year on a hybrid basis (1- 2 times per week) in any UK office (preferably London).

Purpose of the Role:

As a Technical Business Analyst you will be involved in the second phase of the Money Market Funds project for 2025, supporting the internal stakeholders like the Trading team and Architect, with the technical components of this integration project using your Murex knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities of the role:

As a Technical Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting discussions on front-to-back Murex change and recommend analysis-based solutions (incl. support requirements and design).
  • Leading business team, IT, and external vendor discussions.
  • Managing and completing Murex testing for the different phases in the test cycle (eg, UAT, regression, live-proving).
  • Investigating and coordinating the resolution of production issues and test defects in Murex.
  • Providing Murex training and support to end users for the new product and functionality.

What we require from the Technical Business Analyst:

  • Show a high-level understanding of Murex front-to-back (incl. workflows, trade capture, reporting, pricing, simulation views, integration).
  • Hold experience with Murex integration and necessary requirements to connect via APIs, SWIFT, or ISO along with proficiency in Murex UI configuration.
  • Possess understanding and experience performing Murex testing for all test cycle phases (incl. UAT, regression, live-proving).
  • Have experience using JIRA.
  • Knowledge of following products and trade life cycles: Bonds, Repos, Equities (desirable).
