Tech Design Authority - SAP Finance Systems Transformation

We are seeking a highly experienced and influential Tech Design Authority to provide strategic technical leadership and governance for our SAP Finance Systems transformation project. This role will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity, consistency, and future-readiness of the overall solution architecture. The ideal candidate will possess deep SAP technical expertise, a broad understanding of enterprise IT landscapes, and the ability to make critical technical decisions that align with business objectives and architectural principles.

Your responsibilities:

• Technical Governance: Establish and enforce technical design standards, guidelines, and best practices for the SAP Finance implementation.
• Architectural Review: Review and approve key technical design decisions, ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise architecture and project goals.
• Issue Resolution: Provide expert technical guidance and support in resolving complex technical challenges and roadblocks.
• Strategic Alignment: Ensure the SAP Finance solution aligns with the company's long-term IT strategy and roadmap.
• Technology Roadmap: Contribute to the development of the technology roadmap for the SAP Finance environment.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential technical risks associated with the chosen solutions and propose mitigation strategies.
• Innovation and Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest SAP technologies and industry best practices, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with solution architects, project managers, and other technical teams to ensure a cohesive and well-integrated solution.
• Knowledge Sharing: Mentor and guide technical team members on SAP best practices and architectural principles.
• Decision Making: Make authoritative technical decisions on critical design aspects, balancing technical feasibility with business requirements.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Extensive and deep technical expertise (10+ years) in SAP technologies, with a strong focus on SAP Finance modules and related integration technologies.
• Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role, such as Lead Architect or Tech Design Authority, on large-scale SAP implementation projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound technical decisions with significant impact.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of security, performance, and scalability considerations for SAP systems.
• Experience with various SAP deployment models (on-premises, cloud, hybrid).
• SAP certifications in relevant areas are highly desirable.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
