About the role

The Teaching Assistant role is key in ensuring the provision of a professional, high-quality, effective, and efficient learning support to our students undertaking their Maths and English GCSE's.

The role will significantly contribute to the day-to-day support for students in their learning. A key component will be supporting our Maths and English Teachers within the classroom.

The post holder will have a high commitment to supporting learning, as well as a flexible and multi-skilled approach. Teamwork and an ability to support learning and development of students regardless of their starting points are important aspects of the role.

About you:

• You will have Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant role or similar role and/or a cover tutor.
• You will have vocational experience or an interest in supporting Maths and English.
• You will have excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
• The ability to engage with students and manage behaviours is essential for the role.
• Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures in education is essential.
• You will have the knowledge and ability to use IT facilities and packages effectively.
• You will have a genuine interest in promoting and supporting education for young people and be a team player and collaborative worker.

Salary:

From £24,558.75 to £27,287.50 per annum (Term Time Only 0.925FTE, pro-rata £26,550 to £29,500 per annum 1FTE) subject to qualifications and experience
