Job Description
Science teacher job in Blaenau Gwent. Full time, long-term opportunity.


Your new schoolHays are working with a secondary school in Blaenau Gwent with over 800 pupils to find a Science teacher. The school encourages the pupils to take a proactive and creative approach to learning allowing them to develop. The leadership team have a clear vision for the school and communicate it very well to create an inclusive ethos and a strong community feeling.
Your new roleStarting ASAP, you will be a key part of the dedicated Science department including full teaching responsibilities such as:

  • Teach KS3 - KS5
  • Nurture a range of learning abilities
  • staff meetings
  • parent's evenings,
  • pastoral responsibilities,
  • planning and preparation of lessons
  • marking and assessment.
  • This is your chance to put your mark on a school and implement success through your teaching.

    What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified teaching Status or PCET with Science experience
  • Experience of teaching science in a secondary school
  • Proven track record of helping students
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council
  • Hold a DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • NQT's encouraged to apply!
