Job Description

Teacher of Modern Languages Spanish with French

We are looking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated Modern Languages Teacher with a passion for teaching Spanish to A Level and French to GCSE Level. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and highly successful department.

Applicants should be both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about languages and be able to communicate effectively within a disciplined and happy classroom environment.

A strong commitment towards students of all ability as well as a dynamic and supportive team ethos are desirable, in order to join our thriving and tightly unified Languages Faculty. The post offers scope for someone to be fully involved in all Faculty activities, as well as in the wider school.

Qualities and Experience

Applicants should have:

  • The ability to teach Spanish confidently to A Level & French to GCSE.
  • Strong language skills and cultural awareness.
  • The ability to teach imaginatively, with enthusiasm as well as sensitivity.
  • The ability to communicate ideas and information clearly.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • A strong work ethic.
  • Good judgement in the assessment of pupils and their work.
  • Decisiveness and a sense of discipline within the classroom .
  • Good IT skills.
  • A natural ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Punctuality.
  • Effective personal administration skills.
  • Reliability as a colleague.
  • A sense of perspective.
  • A sense of humour.
