Job Description

About the Role:

After a pause, Sport England is seeking to recruit several passionate individuals to join our refreshed Talent Inclusion Advisory Group (TIAG). As a member, you will play a role in shaping the future of athletic development pathways in England. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that these pathways are more accessible, inclusive, and better connected to the wider sporting ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Guidance: Provide expert advice to the Head of Talent Inclusion England Talent Pathways on how Sport England can effectively advance its talent inclusion strategy. Inclusive Pathways: Ensure that athletic development pathways are designed to be accessible and inclusive, fostering a welcoming environment for all athletes. Ecosystem Connections: Strengthen the connections between athletic development pathways and the school, club, community, sport development, and sport for development programs that precede and surround them.

Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking individuals who bring diverse experiences and perspectives to the table. Our ideal candidates share our commitment to creating equitable access to sport for all. You should possess:

Experience in equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives OR a background in sports, such as coaching, supporting athletes, or involvement as a parent or guardian of young athletes. A genuine passion for promoting inclusion and diversity in sports. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to contribute strategically and think innovatively about solutions. Board or committee experience is desirable but not essential.

Time Commitment & Location:

This Advisory Group will meet four times a year during office hours. The location will usually be at our London offices in Canary Wharf with online attendance an option for those with who find travel difficult.

This position is on a voluntary (unremunerated) basis, however reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed.
