Job Description

Salary: £70,500 per annum

Contract type: Fixed Term until end November 2025

Wellcome is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.

We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate.

These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won't be solved by science alone. We are recruiting for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join on a fixed term contract until the end of November 2025.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment of complex technical roles whilst managing high volumes of applications

  • Deliver a seamless candidate and manager experience throughout the recruitment process

  • Create an engaging and inclusive recruitment process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers and feedback

  • Coach and support managers through the full recruitment process advising on process and best practice

  • Work closely with the wider People Team colleagues on internal talent retention and career progression

  • Contribute to the Talent Acquisition strategy including leading on key projects, helping identify areas for improvement and where technology could support our processes.

We are looking for a resilient and agile recruitment professional who can manage stakeholders at all levels whilst managing high volumes of candidate applications and deliver an outstanding recruitment service attracting the best talent to Wellcome to support the delivery of our mission.

The minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Proven experience in leading end to end internal recruitment processes within a complex organisation as part of an internal/in-house recruitment team.

  • Proven ability to manage a diverse and high-touch requisition volume.

  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of candidate applications

  • Proven ability to continuously improve in response to new insights and stakeholder feedback

  • Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) ideally with some experience of using Workday
