THE ROLE
Step aboard Damen Naval and lead the charge in our groundbreaking shipbuilding projects. We need an experienced technical leader with expertise in Plans & Arrangements, Outfitting, Interior & Deck and Structures to manage and coordinate our Verification and Validation activities. Drive excellence in large-scale projects and ensure the highest quality and timely delivery of subcontracted work packages.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
As interim System Integration Lead Outfitting and Structural (Interim) your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and submit comprehensive Verification & Validation documentation.
  • Oversee a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists.
  • Ensure seamless equipment integration and compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate client documentation delivery and review processes.
  • Facilitate Design Reviews and manage compliance escalations.
  • Prepare for and oversee test timelines, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
  • Participate in FAT, HAT, and SAT, ensuring quality and compliance standards.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To excel as interim System Integration Lead Outfitting and Structural, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of experience in shipbuilding or related industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of Plans & Arrangements, Outfitting, Interior & Deck and Structures.
  • Fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus.
  • Excellent references antecedents as a pre-assignment security screening is part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.
  • Candidates with EU (work) visa or with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible given the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.

This temporary assignment as interim System Integration Lead Outfitting and Structural is exclusively offered on a temporary employment project contract with Damen Naval or secondment (detachering). Freelance or ZZP agreements are not considered due to current Dutch legislation.
