The UAL Size and Shape programme is a significant programme of work that is intended to reshape UAL's teaching portfolio for the long term. It comprises a range of strategic, operational and analytical projects within an overall framework.

As a Strategic Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of this major programme over the next 12 months, ensuring that all projects and activities are kept on track and delivered in an integrated way. This will involve:

  • Ensuring all sub-projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating work within the overall programme
  • Drafting and implementing project plans
  • Carrying out transactional processing and reporting on the programme's budget
  • Liaising with consultants and sub-contractors regarding the delivery of externally commissioned analysis
  • Managing contracts
  • Implementing proposals relating to the new course approval process

This is an important long-term project for UAL which offers an exciting opportunity to work on an area of strategic significance close to the centre of the University.

About you

You will need project management experience or training, with the ability to manage a complex range of projects and initiatives concurrently within an overall programme.

In addition to this, you will possess experience of budget management, as well as the ability to manage and distil the flow of project and programme information to ensure activities remain on track and that key stakeholders are kept informed.

You will also demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, along with a high attention to detail and the ability to engage with and influence a range of colleagues.
