Strategic Analytics Manager
Private Label Solutions (PLS), one of Expedia Group's fastest-growing divisions, delivers innovative API and Template solutions for B2B partners worldwide. As the partner-focused arm of Expedia Group, PLS empowers businesses across various sectors-including loyalty programs, airlines, travel agents, corporate travel managers, and online retailers-to remarket Expedia Group's rates to their customers. Through flagship solutions like Rapid API, White Label Template, and TAAP, PLS provides seamless hotel booking experiences, connecting partners to over 700,000 properties in 250,000 destinations with customizable integrations, an unrivalled supply, and competitive rates.
As a Strategic Analytics Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our B2B division through data-driven insights and financial analysis. Your initial focus will be on a highly commercial and finance-oriented project, delivering in-depth performance evaluations and revenue optimization strategies. Over time, your scope will expand to include additional high-impact strategic initiatives, working cross-functionally to support business growth and innovation.
In this role, you will collaborate with teams across Commercial, Finance, Strategy, Product, and Data Science to develop analytical frameworks, assess market trends, and identify revenue opportunities. By leveraging data to inform decision-making, you will help drive long-term profitability and operational efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to solve complex, evolving challenges within an international business, requiring a blend of commercial acumen, financial expertise, and advanced analytics capabilities.
In this role, you will:
Conduct deep-dive analyses on financial and commercial performance, identifying key drivers of growth and efficiency.
Develop scalable models, automated dashboards, and performance metrics to provide real-time insights for strategic decision-making.
Partnered with Finance and Commercial teams to evaluate pricing strategies, revenue forecasting, and profitability drivers.
Present data-driven recommendations and business cases to senior leadership, influencing commercial and financial strategy.
Lead cross-functional analytical initiatives, collaborating with teams across Analytics, Strategy, Data Science, and Machine Learning.
Act as a thought leader within the organization, identifying emerging trends and strategic opportunities for the B2B business.
Support the development of innovative frameworks and methodologies to enhance business performance and market positioning.
Experience and qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial analytics, financial modelling, and strategic problem-solving, with the ability to communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
5+ years of analytical experience in a data-rich commercial environment, such as online travel, e-commerce, or banking.
Strong understanding of revenue drivers, market dynamics, and commercial performance metrics.
Expertise in analysing trading performance to identify key commercial opportunities and risks.
A proactive, creative mindset with a passion for solving complex business challenges.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong grasp of statistical methods and their application to real-world commercial challenges.
Proven ability to work with large datasets using tools like SQL, R, or similar languages, with demonstrated expertise in uncovering trading drivers in digital environments.
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, with a talent for crafting clear and impactful dashboards.
