*DevOps Incident Manager- 6 months+ extensions - 100% remote position - URGENT!*
Red Global delivers IT specialists to our customers on a global scale.
On behalf of one of our European based clients, we are currently on the lookout for an experienced DevOps incident manager to join a project on a 6 month contract with a project scope of 1 year+
This project is offering 100% remote work and would only require on site presence occasionally for company meetings. The opportunity is urgent and the client is looking for someone to start as soon as possible!
Here is a breakdown of the roles and responsibilities for this project:
Incident Coordination & Response:
- Oversee incident resolution by facilitating coordination between support teams, escalating when necessary, and managing resources to ensure prompt resolution.
- Lead conference calls and deal with incidents that arise during the project, ensuring clear communication and proper action tracking.
Communication & Stakeholder Management:
- Clear Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for this position and a strong attention to detail.
- Capable of effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical staff at all levels, and maintaining excellent interpersonal relationships.
- Prepare incident reports, root cause analyses, and post-incident reviews, sharing them with appropriate teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with teams to align on requirements for incident and problem management.
Post-Incident Review & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead detailed incident reviews to identify root causes, recurring issues, and recommend improvements.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate incident records, including actions taken and outcomes, in the incident management system.
- Produce regular reports on incident metrics, trends, and service impacts for analysis and ongoing improvement.
- Ensure accuracy in documentation, reporting, and process compliance.
Process Development & Adherence:
- Develop and maintain procedures, policies, and documentation related to incident and problem management.
