Sprayer and Combine Operator

We are looking for an experienced, competent, reliable and enthusiastic Sprayer and Combine Operator to join our established and motivated team.

This position is available due to the retirement of a long-term team member at the end of December 2024.

Based near Grantham in Lincolnshire we harvest approx. 3000 acres of combinable crops each year. We have a Sands horizon 30m Sprayer and currently a MF Ideal combine.

Graham Wade Farms Ltd is a mixed farm with arable, grass, SFI and includes established, local, whole farm contracting. We have 180 head of beef fattening cattle,

We are a forward-looking business, and the successful candidate will be familiar and competent with using ipads and GPS as well as traditional recording with a pen. There will be an element of General Farm Work including workshop maintenance, as ever, within a mixed farm. Experience with handling Cattle would be a bonus.

Once established you will need to be able to work on your primary roles independently but at other times work closely with our existing team, sharing various roles. The Sands Sprayer runs alongside a trailed Chafer Sprayer, but you will be the sole Combine Operator.

Accommodation could be available by separate negotiation. We have a 3 bed, centrally heated cottage on site, to let on an AST.

Remuneration will be dependent on experience and in line with current trends. A clean driving licence, PA1, PA2 and Forklift qualification are required.

Grantham town is 3 miles from the farm, and benefits from an enduring Grammar school system and there are good primary schools locally. There is an excellent pub serving food in the nearest village.
