Job: Speech and Language Therapist

School: Secondary Academy, Waltham Forest, East London

Start date: January 2025

Annual salary: £49,000 - £56,000 pro rata

Contract: Permanent, full-time or part-time, term time only

Aston Education is working with a popular 11-16 mainstream secondary school in Waltham Forest, East London, looking for a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to start as soon as possible.

The schoolis a thriving community school with free parking on site. They are part of a medium size academy trust who are committed to supporting staff to achieve swift career progression offering a range of opportunities and experiences across the trust schools. They also offer LGPS pension and excellent CPD.

As a Speech and Language Therapist you ll:

  • Deliver tailored speech and language therapy programmes based on individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with caregivers and teaching staff to integrate speech and language targets into the curriculum as part of each student's Individual Education Plan (IEP).
  • Conduct regular assessments and progress reports, participating in appraisals and clinical supervision as required.
  • Support all aspects of school life, contributing to safeguarding both on-site and during school outings.

They are looking for someone who:

  • Is a fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist, registered with the HCPC.
  • Has experience in special educational needs and working with pupils with dysphagia needs.
  • Has the ability to inspire and develop pupils to achieve their full potential.
  • Has high professional standards and a passion to make a positive difference.
