We are looking for a Solutions Architect (Telephony) for a 12 Month contract based in Derby (as and when required) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.
In this role you will be leading the migration of Legacy telephony infrastructure from an Avaya-based system to a MS Teams-based telephony system from Day 1. This role involves collaborating with a third-party migration partner, ensuring alignment with the company's interests, and delivering a seamless and compliant telephony transformation.
Candidate Profile: Key Accountabilities, Skills & Experience
Solution Design and Guidance:
- Lead the telephony migration project, ensuring the proposed solutions align with the organisation's technical and business requirements.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to deliver effective and efficient solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represent the organisation's interests in technical discussions with suppliers and vendors.
- Work closely with end users to address device and meeting room equipment needs.
Technology Oversight:
- Provide expertise in Teams telephony, MS 365, and Avaya systems.
- Ensure all telephony migration activities adhere to security and compliance requirements.
Implementation Support:
- Guide the integration of user devices such as Jabra, Logitech, and meeting room equipment into the telephony environment.
- Ensure a smooth transition for end users, with minimal disruption to daily operations.
What We Require from the Candidate
- Proven experience in telephony migration projects, particularly moving from Avaya to Teams-based telephony systems.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft Teams telephony and MS 365
- Avaya Legacy systems
- End-user devices (eg, Jabra, Logitech) and meeting room equipment integration.
- Background in defence, government or manufacturing environments, with a clear understanding of health and safety, security, and compliance considerations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to guide technical discussions and advocate for client interests.
