We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer with a strong background in software development and hands-on experience in machine learning. The ideal candidate should have a platform-centric approach and a proven track record in applying machine learning techniques to develop scalable software solutions. You will be instrumental in crafting innovative applications that enable us to build golden datasets in a minimal time to market in turn helping us build complex knowledge graphs. What you will accomplish:

  • Build large scale applications, low latency API's, data pipelines, and a high focus on building foundational and golden data aspects for eBay.

  • Build highly configurable and metadata driven pipelines for seamless ingestion of attributes or derived aggregates related to an entity

  • Building machine learning models to generate insights used across eBay.

  • Leverage modern Gen AI toolset to develop tools and products aimed to improve the experience of customers.

  • Partnering with architects, business leaders and industry experts in devising strategy and solutions.

  • Mentoring and leading with example for the team junior members to lead them to success

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a Master's degree in Computer Science with relevant software development experience.

  • Demonstrated exceptional programming skills in Java, Scala, Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.

  • Proven experience in building and consuming horizontally scalable RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and distributed systems.

  • Proficiency with big data technologies such as Spark, Flink, and Kafka.

  • Strong understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and data modeling techniques.

  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML/GenAI technology to build and run models in production.

  • Familiarity with ReactJs is required.
