Home-Based with UK Travel - To suit candidate living in England or Wales close to a motorway and within 4 hours travel of London.
£75,000 to £85,000 Basic Salary + Comm + Bonus + Comp Benefits. OTE £100-£120K+
Are you an experienced SaaS sales professional with expertise in the public sector with a focus on local authorities and good knowledge of the elections market?
Applause IT are working with a well established and respected UK business process outsource company to find a Senior Sales Specialist to drive business growth, build strong client relationships, and support the expansion of their Elections division.
The Role
As a Senior Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships (cross sell/up sell), and driving revenue growth. Working closely with internal teams, you will play a key role in shaping sales strategies, delivering value-based solutions, and influencing stakeholders within the public sector. Clients are across various local government authorities and central government.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a successful sales plan for the elections market
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, managing them through the sales cycle
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with both existing clients and new prospects
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions across the UK
- Lead sales responses to formal procurement notices and create compelling proposals
- Accurately forecast sales and provide key insights to support business strategy
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in software solution sales to Local Government
- Strong understanding of elections processes (Data cleansing, eCounting and so on) and the public sector systems landscape in general
- Ability to design and present tailored solutions to meet client needs
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Experience in running client workshops and mapping customer journeys
- A proactive and driven approach, with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets
